Not sure how to retrieve the ones with their names, without the banners that their names are on( it grabs their image, along with the banners ). But, i do have them in their Monkey balls https://supermonkeyball.sega.jp/bananarumble/#mode
2000 articles in the Super Monkey Ball wiki now! Keep on rolling!
Note: take this with a grain of salt, since I used google image translate.
For context, I emulated 3D in japanese because i'm morbidly curious what the bios of the doubles would read when translated back to english, and apparently C-Aiai does not like bananas in this version (Last line). I think what makes it even more jarring is that W-Meemee (The only other person I've unlocked on this save) is relatively normal for the most part.
If the translation is accurate, I wonder why they would change it.
In Super Monkey Ball Sakura Edition, the world Far East appears, with music seemingly from Step & Roll. As usual, the version we hear in this game is missing certain layers from the original song. However the version of the song that appears in that game is noticeably shorter than the version that appears in Step & Roll. You can hear that version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7A4G9DDWKTs
The song is missing certain "filler" sections that appear in the original soundtrack from Step & Roll. To understand what I mean by this, you should know that the world themes in Step & Roll are not full songs. Instead, they are nine mini songs that play on loop for each of the nine non-bonus levels that appear in that world. When edited together as seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vH3hs_gT0ig they form something resembling a complete song. However, to pad out the length of the individual level songs, the "full" world themes contain what I call filler sections, that don't really contribute anything to the song as a whole, but exist purely to extend the length of the nine mini songs.
Sakura Edition's version of the Far East theme lacks several filler sections from the combined themes that appear in Step & Roll. At first, you might assume they were simply edited out, similarly to how some other songs in Sakura Edition, and virtually all songs in the first Super Monkey Ball iOS game had sections edited out for the loop. However, SE's Far East theme also contains a brief section that does not appear in Step & Roll's themes AT ALL, and which matches up with the tune of the full vocal version of the song. You can hear it at 1:23 in the linked video. Additionally, if this version were edited, then it was edited considerably better than the other edited songs were, as you can't actually hear any audible edits. This means that SE appears to be using a version of the song that does not appear in Step & Roll at all.
Given that the iOS games were clearly made on a very tight budget, it seems unlikely that new sections would have been composed specially for SE's soundtrack, which leads to the conclusion that there already existed a "full" version of Far East's theme, that was simply never used in Step & Roll. What I would like to find out is, does a full version of the other world themes exist as well, and is there anywhere where these full versions were released in high quality? Or is there some way to access them? If so, I think it would be worth providing them on the wiki. Any of you guys know anything about this and think you can help?
So, one thing I have noticed about this wiki is that most of the files uploaded to the wiki are not tagged with the appropriate licensing (which would usually be Fair Use). Most major wikis are quite strict about this, and usually require all screenshots, renders, graphics and artwork from video games being tagged as Fair Use under licensing. You can do this using the dropdown licensing menu on the file uploader. This is something we currently don't enforce, and most users here are not in the habit of doing when uploading images. In fact, the Fair Use template was actually DELETED at one point, until I restored it.
This is potentially problematic. Granted, it's unlikely that our little wiki would be targeted by SEGA, but since this wiki is a part of FANDOM, if FANDOM ever decides to crack down on wikis not appropriately tagging images, it could potentially get us in trouble with them in the future. Because of this, I would like to suggest that going forward, we make more of an effort to ensure that uploaded files are appropriately tagged with the correct licensing template.
Thoughts on this?
Story male monkeys have the same animation as AiAi and his voice, and story female monkeys have the same animation as MeeMee and her voice.
The Story Mode monkeys have the AiAi and MeeMee icons.
Those Story Mode monkeys are only playable in the Party Game mode (except for Monkey Soccer/Monkey Football).

I'm gonna say this quick: When I finally got download the Dolphin Emulator, I installed SMBA to control 4 players at once, and also to try out the codes of unlocking all Party Game Stages without having to spend bananas for it in Story Mode. But despite the emulator clearly having a Memory Card inserted in Slot A, it refused to detect that clearly inserted Memory Card, but the problem doesn't end there: I made the biggest mistake of my experience playing Super Monkey Ball: On my Wii, I purposely deleted my SMBA save-data (in order to use those Cheat Codes of unlocking Party Game Stages rather than having Bananas spent on them) because I thought and/or assumed that the Memory Card would be detected like it was many years before when I did have proper autosave detection on my real physical Memory Card for GameCube on my Wii, but I was tragically wrong. The same bug that happened to me on Dolphin, also applied to my Wii's physical GameCube memory-card as well, big bummers! I have no idea if the cause behind this bug has something to do with the system's current date, or if it's just an unlucky issue that nearly nobody talks about because Super Monkey Ball Adventure isn't really popular at all, when compared to the rest of this franchise.
This situation actually started happening 2 months before I shared this textpost, but I hesitated to post it here sooner because I wasn't really in the mood of doing so, more motivated to do different noteworthy things. But after one my very old threads suddenly got a new upvote(r), that reminder motivated me to actually share this tragic experience once and for all!
Has anyone else who owns a copy of Super Monkey Ball Adventure faced this problem, yes or no? If not, then lucky you! (My applauds for you experiencing such a relief.)
So I was thinking about what might be interesting to see in future Super Monkey Ball games, and I thought something that could make worlds feel more impactful could be if some worlds slightly altered the game's physics. For example what if there was a water world with slower, floatier physics, or a space world with lighter gravity. I'd imagine the difference would have to be pretty minor to not affect the gameplay experience too much, but I think it could be neat. The only time I've ever really felt like worlds actually mattered would be Cobalt Caverns in Banana Blitz where several stages had mushroom platforms that were exclusive to that world, so it might be interesting to see something that changes things up a little. What do you think?
So, I was playing through Sakura Edition, and an idea struck me. What do you guys think about the idea of there being a multi-platform remaster of the handheld Super Monkey Ball games? It could be an anthology of stages from Jr, Touch & Roll and Sakura Edition, with stages from all 3 games appearing in it. Obviously not every stage from Sakura Edition could be included because some rely on that game's unique physics, and there would be little point in including some of the levels from Jr. and Touch & Roll since they are recreations of levels from 1 and 2, but even then there are a lot of levels to chose from, and for many people I imagine this would be their first time playing these levels, not to mention it would be an opportunity to play these levels on a home console/PC, rather than the much more limited platforms they originally released on.
Out with the old, in with the new! To keep up with the current state of the franchise, I have designed a fresh new logo that's styled after the logo of the latest game in the series, Banana Mania. Here it is in full resolution:
With this, we have now retired our old logo that was created by @KirbyRainboom back in 2015. Perhaps they still have this logo in its original size, but for now, this is the biggest resolution we have:
Hi im new here
As some (if not many) people in the video-gaming community know, modern games since the Nintendo 64 onwards are known to run at 60FPS (60 Frames per Second), and i'm assuming that Super Monkey Ball 1, 2, and Deluxe are no exception to this, including the fact that Seconds are divided into 100 Centiseconds, despite 60 being the correct number/amount of Frames. Something i've noticed today is that after looking at various YouTube videos focusing on Monkey Race from the earlier SMB titles, every time a lap is completed or any player finishes a race, the last digit of their timer always (as far as I know) ends up being a 0, 1, 3, 5, 6, or 8, but never a 2, 4, 7, nor 9. What's even more strange, is that despite how many different Monkey Races i've looked at, and not a single one of those four last mentioned numbers happen as their timer's last digit, this is contrary for Monkey Boat. In several YouTube videos showing plenty of gameplay footage of Monkey Boat, i've seen several laps or races being completed in times where that centisecond's last digit is a 2, 4, 7, or 9. As for Normal Mode, where you cross the Goal of each stage, I have yet to double re-check enough videos showing plenty of gameplay footage in Challenge Mode to let me know if the goal-times in Normal Mode can have 2, 4, 7, or 9 as their last digit, since this curiosity of mine popped off my head literally just today.
Any idea why or how most players almost always get a specific amount of centisecond digits in Monkey Race, but yet it's contrary for Monkey Boat? Is it just dumb luck, or are both Patty Games just programmed slightly differently with their timers? Make sure to let me know if you have any possible logical explanations for this weird coincidence or strange mystery (whatever you wanna call it) 🤔
The last word in this thread's title is supposed to say "thought.", I just misspelled it right because of limited number/amount of letters/numbers/characters that were allowed in Fandom Threads.
Anyway, I just wanted to point out that I have very recently owned & played the Xbox version of SMB Deluxe (which I supposed it would be way better than it's PS2 counterpart) for the first time, and in my copy of that game, it has several glitches & bugs that i've never seen nor heard anyone talk about it online before, which in my examples would include 1 glitch + 1 bug!
The glitch: When I played Challenge Mode with 4 Players all by myself (I picked Red P1 as GonGon, Blue P2 as Baby, Yellow P3 as AiAi, and Green P4 as MeeMee), throughout my process of beating that mode by touring from stage-to-stage, at one point AiAi suddenly & randomly got some parts of his brown-fur unusually recolored to white. I don't completely remember if the same issue happened with MeeMee and/or GonGon, but I do remember that by glitch with unknown cause, part of AiAi's fur (such as the back of his ears) got white, while other parts of him remained brown. Really weird glitch if you ask me!
And now, onto the bug:
The bug: in Monkey Soccer, I was having the best time of my day playing Party Games for free in SMBDX, when all of a sudden, during that Soccer's first exhibition match, the screen completely blacked out. I pressed the pause-button, and had a chance/opportunity to see what happens when I selected Exit Game, but of-course as I then made a huge-mistake of that decision to wait until Monkey Soccer's Timer ran all the way down to 0:00, not only did that Soccer Match freeze, nor only the Game in general, but rather the whole/entire Xbox 360 of mine froze and the TV made horrid noises. I solved it very quickly by disconnecting the cable and reconnecting it, so that it goes back to normal (thankfully of which it did work, luckily enough), but for the rest of that day, I chose to stay away from Monkey Soccer just to be safer than sorry. I would have considered re-checking to see what happens if I select Exit Game during that unreasonable black screen, but because of so much homework that I have been given every single week (and I want to save my grades as much as possible), I haven't been able to get enough time to keep playing SMBDX for curiosity's sake.
I have no questions regarding the PS2 Version since I haven't had any desire to re-touch it & play it again in years, but...
Has anyone else had any problems, trouble, or issues while playing the Xbox Version of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (in terms of bad glitches and/or bugs)?
Future AiAi (smba) is on my mind again. For anyone who's legitimately unlocked him and played in Story Mode, how do you unlock him? What happens when you play as him?
Adventure is so boggling. lol
Does anyone know what the name of the song is that is playing during Frog Song in the party game, Trombone, from Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz? I am really sure Stars is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and Butterfly is "Lightly Row." I can't figure out Frog Song unfortunately. I would like to add it into Trombone's page if possible.
Thanks!
Is the super monkey ball arcade cabinet rare? If so, how much would it be to purchase it?
