A continue in the Super Monkey Ball series is when you lose all your lives and continue the game with another set of lives in the Main Game. However, this also resets the score and bananas, and jeopardizes the opportunity to access the Extra Stages and/or Master.
You get 5 continues at the start of the game, but you can get more continues by getting 2500 play points after unlocking all mini games. You can get up to 10 continues before unlocking an unlimited amount.
You still get 5 continues, but you don't get any more with Play Points. Instead, you can get lives with 500 play points for each life after six new party games unlocked. You can get up to 99 lives by getting a total of 48,000 points.
This is the only Super Monkey Ball game that doesn’t have any continues if you lose all your lives, which makes the game even harder for players.
You have six continues, but you can't purchase extra continues or lives if you play the game more.
You get three continues at the start of the game, but like Super Monkey Ball, you can get more continues by completing the individual difficulties. You can get up to six or nine continues before getting an unlimited amount.
Starting with Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, you have infinite continues at the start of the game, meaning you can continue as many times you want until you quit.
You have infinite continues at the start. Quitting during gameplay and starting from that same world from where you left off on still counts as using a continue.
