Soft Cream

Soft Cream is the 32nd Expert stage in Super Monkey Ball 2 and Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, as well as the 71st Expert stage in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and the 181st Ultimate stage with continues (221st without continues) and the 92nd Marathon stage of Super Monkey Ball 2 in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.

In Story Mode, it appears as World 8-2 in Super Monkey Ball 2 and as World 8-3 in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. It is given an 8 out of 10 difficulty rating.

Description[]

This stage features a large, soft serve-like structure, hence the name. There is a square-shaped platform with a play switch, a fast-forward switch, a reverse switch, a rewind switch, and a pause switch, all of which determine the movement of the structure. There is another square-shaped platform, which has the goal and some bananas.

Goal Tutorial[]

To get to the goal, activate the play switch, and then get onto the soft serve-like structure. Roll along the structure at a consistent speed, where it is always a level enough place for you to avoid falling out until you make it to the goal platform. Once you have made it to the goal platform, roll into the goal.

Changes in Banana Mania[]

The structure is much thicker. As a result, it is no longer possible to skip over segments, forcing the player to go around the full structure. The Original Stage Mode version of this level is arguably easier as a result. ^[1] There are more bananas in the Story Mode version.

Trivia[]

Unusually, the Challenge Mode version of this stage in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania contains no bananas on the starting platform and only features the legacy bananas from Super Monkey Ball 2's version of the stage. It's possible this version of the stage was overlooked when adding bananas to the starting platforms.
