A free demo for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD released exclusively on Japanese online stores three weeks ahead of the release of the full game, on October 10th, 2019.

After getting past the title screen, the player is immediately sent to the character select screen where they can choose between any of the six available characters, the same six as in the original Banana Blitz on the Nintendo Wii. While there appears to be an unlockable seventh character, they are unobtainable in this demo.
After selecting a character and getting past the controls screen, the player gets to play a selection of three stages taken from the full game. If all three stages have been cleared or if the player runs out of lives, the game ends in a "Thank you" screen before looping back to the title screen.
